I have been visually curious all of my life—it has always been a distinct facet of who I am as a person, and as an artist.
My birthplace and home for almost twenty years, Las Vegas, the infamous city known for its flashy nature, significantly impacted the way I look at what is around me. It was not the over-the-top extravagance that captured my attention, but it was the lowered horizon lines and geometric backdrop of the cityscape and surrounding mountains that I was drawn to. Those visual patterns were formational in the development of my method of seeing and searching for content to photograph.
While Vegas is a place that draws others from every corner of the world, it is also a stagnant and dull city with little to offer those who are thirsting for cultural immersion. I identified a hunger for expansion and diverse experiences that evolved in my early teens. But it wasn’t until I graduated from college where I began to travel quite frequently, for extended amounts of time, to beautiful and intriguing locations around the world.
The photographs you see on this platform are all displays of those diverse traveling experiences. My desire is for you–the viewer–to begin to feel transported to a place you have yet to venture.
